Are your values matching your reality?

If I asked you to list your top 3 values, what would they be?

  • Value 1
  • Value 2
  • Value 3

Now I want you tell me if you are honouring those values (in order of priority) in your everyday life.

I bet there are more than a few people out there who just cringed and answered with a “HELLLL no”.

Because maybe you listed “family” as your number one value, yet your family gets the dregs of you. After you’ve given your all to your work, then guzzled wine all evening while scrolling social media because you just had nothing left in the tank.

Or because “health” ranked in your top 3 but the only thing that’s raised your heart rate lately was the internal rage you felt when your boss was a jerk or your kids were demanding your attention (again).

So… Let me ask you again. What are your top 3 values… really? Forget what you think society wants them to be. This is a personal exercise. If your career ranks higher than your family, acknowledge that.

Denying your true values will only lead you to

  • dissatisfaction with your life,
  • resentment for the things that get in the way, and
  • disappointment in yourself and others.

But if you still come up with the values that AREN’T showing up in your life the way you want them to, it’s time to make some life changes.

Lemme say that again… it is TIME to make some LIFE CHANGES. Ya hear me?

When you get really clear on the values that are most important to you, you can start to shape your life into what really matters. You choose thoughts which will help create the life that is aligned with those values.

You can apply this exercise to your life in general, or even to specific areas of your life. What are your work values? Are you honouring those values in your work life? If not, what changes do you need to make?

I teach all of this in my one on one coaching, and help you every step of the way. Sign up now, or book a free consult to find out more.
